Frequently Asked Questions

OdorBlitz is formulated to help neutralize a wide range of tough, embedded odors — including cigarette and cigar smoke, pet urine and dander, food and cooking odors, mold and mildew, musty smells, fire smoke, and general VOCs. Because chlorine dioxide works at a molecular level, it targets the compounds that cause odor rather than simply masking them with fragrance.
No. OdorBlitz is not an air freshener. Air fresheners and sprays layer a scent on top of the problem — so the odor tends to come back. OdorBlitz uses chlorine dioxide gas to chemically oxidize and break down the molecules responsible for the odor. There is no added fragrance. The result is genuinely clean air, not a perfumed space.
Most treatments take approximately 1 hour. For severe odors — like heavy smoke or deep-set pet smells — we recommend a 2-4 hour treatment for best results. The chlorine dioxide vapor needs time to disperse through the space and penetrate surfaces throughout it. Always follow the instructions included with your kit.
Absolutely. OdorBlitz is ideal for vehicles. Close all windows, doors, and vents, activate the kit inside the car, and step away. One kit is typically sufficient for a standard vehicle. After treatment, open all doors and ventilate for at least 30 minutes before re-entering.
Yes. OdorBlitz works in any enclosed space, including homes, apartments, offices, basements, storage units, RVs, and boats. One kit covers up to approximately 650 sq ft. For larger spaces, treat room by room. During treatment, the space must be vacated. After treatment, open windows and doors to ventilate for at least 30 minutes before re-entering.
Yes. OdorBlitz can be used by auto detailers, car dealerships, and used-car lots as an odor elimination add-on. It's simple to use and fast-acting. The 20-treatment Bulk Kit is available for high-volume shops.
Yes — ventilation after treatment is required. Once the treatment time is complete, open all windows, doors, and vents. Allow fresh air to circulate for a minimum of 30 minutes — longer for larger rooms. For vehicles, open all doors and allow the car to air out before sitting inside.
